Orthotics

Did you know that foot orthotics can be the single most effective treatment modality that a podiatrist can offer their patient?

Custom foot orthotics are medical-grade shoe inserts that are designed specifically for your individual injury history and biomechanical needs.

Plaster casting is a thing of the past! At Foot Mobility we use the latest laser scanner technology to take an image of your foot and then create a 3D printed custom orthotic crafted from the highest quality Polypropylene, Carbon Fibre and EVA.

How the Orthotic Process Works

Initial Assessment & Recommendation

Before we recommend orthotics, we always start with a biomechanical assessment. The purpose of this assessment is to determine if you are a suitable candidate for orthotics. If the initial assessment indicates that you would benefit from custom foot orthotics, then we will recommend the best orthotics for your foot type and intended purpose.

Fitting

Once we have created custom foot orthotics based on an initial consultation and recommendation, we then fit your custom orthotics. We use this step to ensure that your custom foot orthotics fit with your shoes and will make any necessary adjustments.

Review

In this step, we will follow up with you within a couple of weeks of your fitting to track your progress. This is a chance for us to see how your foot and lower leg is adapting to the extra correction of your custom orthotics. The review also gives us an opportunity to make any necessary adjustments.
