At Foot Mobility, we not only treat the symptoms you suffer from but determine the underlying factors that cause you pain.

If you have a question about our home visit podiatry services, or would like more clarity surrounding how we can help you prior to booking an appointment, please feel free to contact our team directly either via the form below, phone or email.

What is a podiatrist?

Podiatrists are healthcare professionals who have been trained to diagnose and treat conditions of the feet and lower limbs. They also prevent and correct deformity, keep people mobile and active, relieve pain and treat infections.

Do I need a referral to visit a podiatrist?

No, you do not a referral to make an appointment. Just call or email our team and they will be able to schedule a home visit appointment for you!

How much does an appointment cost?

Please email us for pricing – [email protected]

Do you offer discounts for group appointments?

Yes, we do!

Email us at [email protected] and we will be able to give you a quote.

What do I need for my appointment?

If you were referred by your doctor or another health care professional please bring your referral letter. If you have any relevant scans (e.g. X-rays, CT, MRI) this can also help with our treatment. Wearing shorts or loose pants can be helpful when assessing your legs when walking.

Have any sport shoes or old orthoses handy for your appointment also as we can assess what you currently have, and provide advice on the right shoe and orthotic going forward.

Does Medicare cover podiatry?

Yes and no.

There are some circumstances where Medicare will pay a percentage of the podiatry fees—for example if you have been classified by your doctor as having a chronic medical condition [such as diabetes] and an Enhanced Primary Care Plan has been lodged with Medicare by your doctor. This plan may entitle you to 5 podiatric visits a year. This is solely your doctor’s decision. If you think this may apply to you, then you will need to firstly contact your doctor to make the necessary arrangements and then contact us to make an appointment.

We are able to provide you with an on-the-spot Medicare refund.

Does private health insurance cover podiatry?

Yes, they do, but it does depend on your level of cover as to whether you are eligible to claim for these services. You will need to contact your health fund to find out about your personal entitlements to podiatry fees. Our team can provide you with a health fund receipt to enable you to claim with your provider at the time of your treatment.

How do I pay for an appointment?

We accept cash or most recognised credit, debit and EFTPOS cards.

Do I get the same level of care from a home visit as a clinic appointment?

Absolutely! At Foot Mobility, we believe that everybody should have access to high-quality professional foot care. We understand that it can be difficult to get to a clinic, so we have made it our mission to bring the clinic to you. That includes state of the art tools and equipment.
